Ingredients:
¾ cup all-purpose flour, sifted (sub: gluten-free flour)
¼ cup cocoa powder
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp applesauce
1 egg (sub: 2 additional tablespoons applesauce for vegan option)
½ cup Kate Farms® Pediatric Standard 1.2 Chocolate
Directions: Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 6 doughnut molds and place them inside the cups of a muffin pan. Whisk flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder in a medium bowl. Add in maple syrup, vanilla extract, applesauce, and Kate Farms, stirring until combined. Add in egg and mix until incorporated. Pour batter evenly into donut molds. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Note : if you are using a muffin pan, fill leftover muffin cups with a bit of water for baking. You can also omit doughnut molds and bake as muffins, instead.
