Home medical suppliers —also called durable medical equipment (DME), home medical equipment (HME), or home infusion companies —are contracted with insurance providers to supply people with nutritional formulas, tubes, and other medically necessary supplies at home.
Just like a doctor’s office or pharmacy, a home medical supplier must be in-network with your insurance plan to bill your insurance.
Ask your doctor to write a prescription for Kate Farms and send it to a home medical supplier in your insurance network. To identify a home medical supplier in your insurance network, you can call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask them to send you a list of suppliers, or contact us and we will help you determine the best supplier for you.
The home medical supplier will then check with your insurance plan to determine your nutritional formula benefits.
If coverage is available to you, the home medical supplier will bill your insurance company directly and ship formula to you at home monthly.
Kate Farms has partnered with many national home medical suppliers, including those listed below.
