"Born 36 weeks at 4lbs 9 ounces, with a diagnosis of Tracheoesophageal fistula, Esophageal Atresia (long gap), Tracheomalacia, and additional heart defects, our son’s journey to health has been quite the ride ... Unable to eat or drink anything by mouth for the first 14 months of his life, and placed on a formula for his sole nutrition that was heavily corn syrup based— our son was unable to clear 15 pounds, and experienced severe reflux and projectile vomiting daily. It was a daily battle. We were continually told to change the rate on his pump or change the volume we are giving him, instead of his nutrition or formula being looked into. Once Bond passed his swallow study at 14 months old, we placed him on a toddler formula to take orally. After several months on this formula, not only was Bond not gaining weight, but we also noticed other alarming behaviors. Bond became more and more disengaged… It was then, after we asked, that we learned about Kate Farms. We received some sample boxes and Bond turned a corner. It seemed too good to be true. My husband and I were not 100% convinced it was the switch to Kate Farms, until we switched DME companies and were forced for a time to revert back. Once we worked things out with our DME and we were able to get Bond back on Kate Farms we noticed a HUGE shift. Kate Farms has directly impacted our son’s health,. Now, only a couple of months on Kate Farms, Bond is playing with other children and is continuing to gain weight. It is all due to the incredible product that Kate Farms is and the family you have built in spreading the news. We are so grateful and we have a passion to continue share Bond’s story and be a part of the Kate Farms family, because we are confident that Bond’s story is just one of what could be hundreds of thousands and we can’t wait to see it happen!” – Rebecca K. (Mother)
